Who Is Prism Lens FX?
At Prism Lens FX, we are a company founded by filmmakers, and run by family & friends. Every decision we make as a company when it comes to new products & ideas for filters is rooted in our deep curiosity to explore what is possible to acheive in camera. It seems like everyday a new AI tool comes out trying to wrestle away the creative decisions we make as filmmakers and photographers. We strongly believe that the artistic intent to author your images with in camera effects, filters, and prisms will always reign superior to what a computer can do. That is why we've made it our mission at Prism Lens FX to create the highest quality FX filters, prisms, and products, for creators who want to keep it in camera!

Tom Taugher is one of the co-founders of Prism Lens FX. As cinematographer from Los Angeles California, Tom got his start shooting music videos & indie feature films. Tom came up with the initial idea for Prism Lens FX when he wanted to make a prototype mountable prism to use on set. This was the lightbulb moment, and what initially kicked off Prism Lens FX in 2018. Tom now works as the head of design for the Prism Lens FX, working on product design, packaging, & web development.
Jakob Owens (Co-Founder)

Jakob Owens is one of the co-founders of Prism Lens FX. As a director from Tempe Arizona, Jakob got his start directing music videos, and building a massive filmmaking YouTube channel where he shared his creative & entrepreneurial journey as a filmmaker. Jakob was able to leverage his background as a director and content creator to help scale Prism Lens FX to become the largest FX Filter company in the world. Jakob now works as the company’s head of marketing, working on from social content, & paid media strategy.

Anna is the head of business operations for Prism Lens FX. Anna has 30 years of operational expirence, coming from a background of co-founding and running a successful chain of Tennessee style BBQ restaurants in Tempe Arizona. With a company founded by 2 filmmakers and creators, Anna balances out our team with operational tact and insights that have allowed us to scale Prism Lens FX into the global brand it is today.
Marshall Dirkson

Marshall is in charge of our affiliate program and brand collaboration initiatives for Prism Lens FX. He's worked for companies ranging in all different sizes, from boutique marketing agencies to Fortune 500 brands like Tesla and Lululemon. Marshall also handles day to day customer success through our DM's and is in charge of internal logistics which have enabled Prism Lens FX to continue to grow!

Shanel is Prism Lens FX first ever employee, she has been grinding it out with us since our original 200sqft warehouse in Boyle Heights in 2018. Currently she is part of the warehouse house team which focuses on getting orders shipped out in a timely manner and also helps behind the scenes with our social content!

Jazz plays a key role in our warehouse, handling shipping, restocking, returns, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Her background in leadership and day-to-day operations makes her someone we can count on for anything that needs to get done. As we settled into our new warehouse, she will continued expanding her role, taking on new responsibilities to support growth and help streamline our operations.
