Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this and the handheld versions?
The circular version allows you to thread this filter directly to your lens & lock in the effect. The handheld versions allow you to control how much of the effect you want, given you can maniupulate how much of the handheld covers your lens. All of our Ripple FX filters create same effect, we just offer different ways you can hold & mount them for your shot!
What aperture should I use for best results?
Yes! We always reccomend shooting with a shallow aperture (F2-F4) for the best results! Shooting with a deeper aperture often results in a dimiished effect.
What lens focal length should I use?
The Ripple FX filter works with all focal lengths, but the effect can be increased or decreased depending on your focal length!
Wider lenses tend to create a reduced effect
Telephoto lenses tend to create an increased effect
